We are offering this master’s degree in collaboration with Al-Maktoum College, in Dundee. At the University of Dundee, we have a strong history and expertise in teaching traditional finance and economics. This degree takes our expertise and combines it with the expertise in Islamic banking/finance and wider Islamic studies on offer at Al-Maktoum. Few degrees of this kind exist in the UK.
You will develop your understanding of the application of Islamic commercial law in relation to Islamic financial institutions and financial products, as well as the emergence and working mechanisms of Islamic capital markets.
You will cover the operations of Islamic banks and Islamic financial markets, alongside the nature of risk and its management in Islamic financial institutions
You will challenge the contemporary issues and debates in Islamic finance and gain an understanding of the internationalisation strategies and strategic decisions in business.
This degree option introduces more insight into the banking sector and approaches relating to the Islamic system.

Our Islamic Finance courses are taught in partnership with Al-Maktoum College, Dundee
This course will give you the skills and understanding to work in a variety of conventional and Islamic businesses such as banks, insurance companies, financial service companies, and trading brokers.
The Pre Masters Program will prepare you for the UK, EU or US study system, giving you the confidence and skills that you’ll need to go further in your studies. Depending on your academic qualification and English language level and chosen programme, you can study the IIM over one or two terms.

Students at the International College may be considered for a number of Scholarships that are part of the University of Dundee Scholarship offerings, such as the Global Citizenship Scholarship which awards students up to 拢5,000 per year of study. Another award is the ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarship which recognises academic achievement while studying at the International College and awards up to 拢6,000 per year of study.
These scholarships are awarded for the University of Dundee period of study. Other Scholarships may be available for the ICD period of study, and you should contact your agent or 蜜桃传媒 International regional representative for full details of these.
