University Pathway Programmes

University Pathway programmes are ideal for international students who want to study a degree but do not have the academic or English qualifications for direct entry. Most pathways can be completed in less than a year and provide guaranteed progression to a degree on successful completion.

How our courses work

Depending on your current academic and English language qualifications, you can choose from a range of courses that ultimately lead you to your desired degree across our university partner network.

Courses in the UK

In the UK, you can study the following courses with us to help develop subject-specific knowledge and improve your academic English language skills in preparation for studying at university.

International Foundation Diploma

The International Foundation Diploma pathway is available to study in Business at both the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Centre and the London Centre.

International Foundation

The International Foundation is a level 3 programme equivalent to A levels available at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ International Pathway College, Bradford University and University of Kent.

International Year Zero

IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

International Stage One

IS1 is the equivalent to the first year of a four year Scottish undergraduate degree available at Edinburgh Napier University and University of Dundee.

IY1 is the equivalent to your first year of study at undergraduate level, upon successful completion, you will continue to the second year of your chosen degree.

International Stage Two

IS2 is the equivalent to the second year of a four year Scottish undergraduate degree available at Edinburgh Napier University and University of Dundee.

Pre-Master's

Your pathway to a postgraduate degree is through the Pre Masters Program. If you do not meet the required qualifications for direct entry to a postgraduate degree at one of our university partners or want to improve your English language and academic skills, then this is for you.

Courses in the USA

In the USA you can study at San Francisco State University or Mercy University in New York City. We offer both undergraduate and graduate pathway options, as well as direct to university degrees.

SFSU International Year One

The International Year One Pathway Program allows students to take credited SF State preparation courses alongside additional academic and English language instruction.
